Eagles Head to Purdue for Final Tournament Before Regionals

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University's women's tennis team will head west to continue the 2016-17 slate this weekend, Oct. 7-Oct. 9, when it takes part in the 2016 Purdue Invitational at Purdue University. The invite will take place at the Schwartz Tennis Center in West Lafayette, Ind.
In addition to the Eagles, the field includes student-athletes from Ball State, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois, Lipscomb, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan State, Northern Illinois, Purdue, Western Kentucky and Xavier.
Match play is set to begin at 9 a.m. each day of the tournament. Friday and Saturday will begin with two rounds of doubles matches, while Sunday will mark the final round of each of the eight singles flights. All matches will take place both indoors and outdoors at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
