Eagles Finish Up at Wildcat Invitational

EMU appeared in four matches, dropping each of them
EVANSTON, Ill. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University tennis team completed the final day of the 2016 Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Northwestern University Sunday, Oct. 2. The Eagfles had four of its student-athletes compete on Sunday, falling in each of their four singles matches.
Junior Ani Gogvadze dropped a two-set match, 6-0, 6-1, to Kentucky's Emily Fanning, while junior Andrea Martinovska fell, 6-2, 6-1, to Callie Frey from Pittsburgh. Sophomore Marie Mayerova dropped a 6-3, 6-3, decision to Wisconsin's Christina Zordani and junior Anna Veleva was knocked off, 6-1, 6-3, by Michigan State's Aslina Chua.
EMU gets back to action Friday-Sunday, Oct. 7-9, when it travels to West Lafayette, Ind. to take part in the Purdue Invational.
