Eagles Set to Host Oakland in Home Opener

EMU will square off with the Golden Grizzlies at 1 p.m. at the Chippewa Club
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team will open the home portion of its 2016 schedule when the Golden Grizzlies of Oakland University take the short trip from Rochester, Mich. for a dual match at the Chippewa Club Friday, Jan. 22. The Eagles (0-2) are looking for their first dual victory of the season after falling to a pair of nationally ranked opponents last weekend. The match is slated for 1 p.m. Friday afternoon.
The Green and White will square off with Oakland for the eighth time in the program's history. Eastern Michigan is undefeated against the Golden Grizzlies, including a 6-1 victory at the Chippewa Club in their last matchup, March 7, 2015. The Eagles swept the doubles round before they continued to dominate, winning the No. 1 through No. 5 singles matches. Live results will be available for the match by clicking here.
