YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The 2015 Eastern Michigan University football schedule was finalized Friday, Feb. 27, with the Mid-American Conference announcing its league slate. The Eagles' 12-game slate includes eight league match-ups and six home contests at Rynearson Stadium.
An updated release of the MAC 2015 football schedule will be released in June with kick times and a television schedule for the first three weeks of the regular season and midweek games during October and November. All other game kick times and television will be announced 12 days prior to the scheduled game.
The 2015 campaign is the first since 2000 to boast that all six home games are against Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponents, and it is just the fourth occurrence overall at EMU. Eastern Michigan will play six home contests at Rynearson Stadium for just the 13th time since the building opened in 1969. During the 2014 season, the gray turf at "The Factory" was voted the second-best field in college football according to USA TODAY Sports' College Football Fan Index, which ranked fan bases based on social media metrics and the weekly surveys.
Eastern Michigan opens the season at home against Old Dominion University, Sept. 5, before traveling to the University of Wyoming, Sept. 12. Eastern Michigan will return home in back-to-back weekends to host MAC West Division foe Ball State University, Sept. 19, and Army, Sept. 26. The three home dates in September are a first for EMU since 2004 and follows on the heels of a season in which EMU did not play a home contest during the month.
The Eagles close the non-conference portion of the schedule at Louisiana State University, Oct. 3, before hosting the University of Akron, Oct. 10. The Eagles then trek to the University of Toledo, Oct. 17, and Northern Illinois University, Oct. 24.
A Thursday, Oct. 29, contest inside "The Factory" then awaits EMU against in-state rival Western Michigan University. The game is the first since Nov. 9, 2007, that Eastern Michigan has hosted a mid-week showcase contest.
The Eagles head to Miami University, Nov. 7, before closing out the home campaign against the University of Massachusetts, Nov. 21. After a 13-day break, Eastern Michigan battles Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant Friday, Nov. 27.
The regular season will conclude with the 19th Marathon MAC Football Championship game on Friday, Dec. 4 at Ford Field in Detroit on ESPN2. This will mark the 12th Marathon MAC Football Championship game at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, Super Bowl XL, and the 2009 NCAA Men's Final Four.
EMU Athletics is continually committed to providing an enhanced and exceptional Division I football game day experience. The ticket pricing structure has been simplified to ensure fans do not miss a minute of the 2015 EMU Eagles home schedule at "The Factory." Season ticket prices have remained the same as last year along with the addition of another home game.
Fans can now order reserved non-chairback season tickets (sections 104-106) for just $75 ($12.50 per game). EMU faculty and staff can secure non-chairback season tickets for $48 ($8 per game), while youth season tickets are just $36 ($6 per game).
Reserved chairback seats just below the press box can be purchased for $99 along with a $50 donation per seat to EMU Football or the Eagles Pride Fund, a 50 percent savings from last season. Additionally, a limited amount of seats are available in the Eagles Pride Suite located on the second floor of the press box. Eagles Pride Suite tickets are $150 along with a varying donation to Eagles Pride based on the number of tickets. Suite holders enjoy a reserved VIP parking space, a variety of upscale food and refreshments choices, along with the best seat in the house to watch the 2015 Eagles.
For the 2015 season, EMU Football season ticket holders will enjoy more than just the action on the field with a number of exclusive benefits, including: a season ticket holder gift, exclusive discounts on the ticket backs and a concession/merchandise voucher.
Buying a season ticket is your best deal as you will save 38 percent when compared to the single-game rate.
EMU has also simplified pricing on single-game tickets, which will go on sale July 1. Fans can purchase adult tickets for $20 while youth 12-and-under are just $8. Additionally, groups of 10-or-more can receive discounted pricing by contacting the EMU Ticket Office.
Tickets are now on sale at EMUEagles.com, by calling 734.487.2282 or by visiting the EMU Ticket Office daily between 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
