Tennis to Compete in ITA Midwest Regional

Eastern will head to Ann Arbor, Mich. for the regional competition
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University tennis team will head to Ann Arbor, Mich. to compete in this year's ITA Midwest Regional this week, Oct. 22-27. The four-day event will be held at the Varsity Tennis Center on the campus of the host school, the University of Michigan.
Last season, the doubles squad of Andrea Martinovska and Klara Supejova proved to be the most successful for the Eagles. The duo advanced to the regional's quarterfinals before dropping a close decision to a doubles squad from Notre Dame.
The tournament marks the final fall action for the Eagles. Admission is free, with the tournament being held indoors. Consolation action will be played outdoors, weather permitting.
Competing teams in the competition include: Akron, Bowling Green, Butler, Chicago State, Cleveland State, DePaul, Detroit, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Illinois State, Illinois-Chicago, Illinois, Marquette, Michigan, Michigan State, Northern Illinois, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Toledo, Western Michigan, Wisconsin, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Youngstown State
