Eastern Opens 2014-15 Season at the Gopher Invitational

The Eagles travel to Minneapolis, Minn. for their first matches of 2014-15
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University's women's tennis team will open up its fall slate this weekend, Sept. 19-21, when it takes part in the 2014 Gopher Invitational at the University of Minnesota. The invite will take place at the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
The Golden Gophers will play host to 12 schools, including the Eagles. Other teams participating in the fall invitational will include: Eastern Michigan, Drake, Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, Minnesota North Dakota, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Milwaukee, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Wisconsin, .
The invitational will be held at the Baseline Tennis Center which includes 10 indoor courts, in addition to 12 outdoor courts.
There will be six singles flights. For doubles, there will be new draws each day. On Friday, there will be six brackets of eight teams. Saturday and Sunday, there will be 12 brackets of four teams with new draws each day.
