Mycal Swaim Signs Free Agent Contract

Safety is first Eagle this spring to sign with a pro team
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University safety Mycal Swaim (Chico, Calif.-Pleasant Valley-Butte C.C.) has signed a free agent contract with the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The 6-foot-2, 212-pound Swaim appeared in 20 games throughout his two-year career at EMU. After transferring from Butte College in Oroville, Calif., Swaim has recorded 101 tackles in two seasons as an Eagle, including 81 last year.
Against Penn State (Sept. 7), the Chico, Calif. native hauled in his first career interception. In EMU's latest victory over Western Michigan, Swaim did his part in the thrilling overtime contest, tying his career-high with nine tackles.
He also took part in the inaugural Medal of Honor Bowl, Jan. 11, in Charleston, S.C.
