-- The 2014 Eastern Michigan University gymnastics season came to a close as junior Anna Willette (Pylesville, Md.-North Harford) competed at the NCAA Regional on the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La., Saturday evening, April 5. Willette completed her routine on the balance beam and earned a 9.600 from the judges.

Willette tied for 39th in the event alongside fellow Mid-American Conference gymnast Kayla Kosmerl of Kent State University.

"Anna competed great today alongside other top gymnasts throughout the nation," noted EMU Head Coach Steve Wilce. "She went an entire season without out fall which is extremely impressive. She is a great competitor."

The all-conference honoree led the Eagles all season long and represented EMU at the regional competition. After serving as an alternate last year, Willette earned her spot at the NCAA Regional in 2014, closing out a strong year for the Pylesville, Md. native.
