The Eagles close out the fall at Florida International
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University's women's tennis team will close out its fall slate this weekend, Oct. 31-Nov. 2, when takes part in the 2014 Panther Invitational hosted by Florida International University. The tournament will take place in Miami, Fla.
The Eagles will travel to the Sunshine State this weekend to square off with not only FIU but three more schools: Barry University, Florida Gulf Coast University and Nova Southeastern University.
There will be three flights in both singles and doubles and each of the EMU student-athletes will be competing. Klara Supejova, Daphne Friedrichs and Ani Gogvadze will each be set in the Singles A flight, while Maria Paula Ribero, Alejandra Barcelo Almoyna and Andrea Martinovska will compete in the Singles B flight. In doubles, Martinovska and Supejova, fresh off of their ITA Regional quarterfinal appearance, will take part of flight A, while the duos of Gogvadze/Ribero and Friedrichs/Almoyna will compete in flight B. Action will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 31.
