Five victories guided the Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team in the Spartan Invitational at Michigan State University, April 5-6.

The Eagles swept both hurdle events. Freshman Vanessa Clerveaux crossed the finish line first in the 100-meter hurdles in 13.67, the sixth fastest time in EMU history while senior Asia Rawls won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:01.26.

Victoria Voronko was victorious in the 1,500-meter run after finishing with a time of 4:34.79. The lone EMU victory in the field events came in the triple jump as freshman Makeda DeBardelaben leaped 12.01 meters (39-feet 5-inches) to stand on top of the podium.

The Green and White also found success in the relays. The 4x100-meter relay team of Clerveaux, Aaliyah McKinney, Danielle Clark and Morgan Yeadon took first with a time of 46.11. In the 4x400-meter relay, Clark, Yeadon, Latipha Cross and Rawls ended the race in 3:51.99 for a runner-up finish.
