Eagles Hit the Water One More Time Before MAC Championships

Boasting an undefeated record, EMU will swim one more time before attempting to win a MAC Title
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan women's swimming and diving team will hit the road this weekend to compete in Columbus, Ohio at the Ohio State Winter Invitational. The invitational kicks off Saturday, Feb. 9, with preliminaries starting at 11 a.m. and Sunday, Feb. 10, with events starting at 10 a.m.
The Eagles are undefeated in their 2012- 2013 season and are 5-0 in the Mid- American Conference after topping the University at Buffalo, Jan. 26. This has been the best start for EMU since the 2000-01 season, when Eastern went 10-1 (8-0 MAC) in dual-meets. The Eagles have completed their first undefeated dual-meet season in the program's history.
This will be the women's first time competing at the OSU Winter Invite. The Eagles will be 1 of 8 teams including Ohio State, Baldwin Wallance, Michigan, Bowling Green, Purdue, Arkon, and Toledo. Final events will be start 5 p.m. on Saturday, along with more finals at 4 p.m, Sunday afternoon.
