YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University softball team will be hosting two different camps during the month of December in the Multi-Purpose Indoor Practice Facility.

The Eagles will first host an Elite High School Camp, Sunday, Dec. 22 which will include an instructional camp from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and two 50-minute games in the Bubble located on EMU's campus from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. The camp is open to all high school players (4+ years of experience preferred) and each camper will receive a t-shirt for participating.

The Green and White's final camp of 2013 will be a team camp, Monday, Dec. 30, which will include three 55-minute games in the indoor practice facility. Game times will start at 8 a.m. with the final game slated to start at 9 p.m.

Any athlete or team interested in attending should visit the Eastern Michigan University Athletic Camp Information page or go to www.readysetregister.com  to learn more information and register for upcoming camps.

The Eagles hosted a series of fall camps in the months of October and November that included: Pitching and catching, offense, defense and a coach's clinic.

"There is a lot of buzz surrounding EMU Softball right now and that energy can be felt in our camps," said Head Coach Melissa Gentile. "Our November camps were a big success with each and every player leaving camp having learned something new about her position.  This was a direct reflection of the type of player attending our camps and the passion that our players and coaches put into teaching the game."
