TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (EMUEagles.com)
— Eastern Michigan University's women's cross country team completed the 2013 Pre-NCAA Invitational with a 14th-place finish, Oct. 19 at Indiana State University.  The team led the competing Mid-American Conference schools in the Women's White Race, scoring 423 points to outrun Bowling Green State University and the University of Akron. 

Junior Victoria Voronko (Stavropol, Russia-School #42) earned second-place honors with her time of 20:27.92, bested only by University of California-Berkley's Kelsey Santisteban.  Additionally, Voronko came in before the only two runners who had beat her in previous competitions, Samantha Hamilton and Courtney Frerichs. 

Senior Kayla Pfund (Shelby Twp.-Lutheran Northern) capped off the top-25 in the race with a 21:48.41 mark.  In the Women's Open Race, sophomore Amy Frauhammer (Saline, Mich.-Saline) turned out a top-50 performance with a final time of 23:14.54.

The Green and White will host the EMU Classic Friday, Oct. 25 in Dexter, Mich.
