Softball Opens Fall Schedule

EMU will host nine games and travel to Michigan for one
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University softball team has set its fall schedule, Head Coach Karen Baird has announced today, Sept. 20. The Eagles will host eight games this fall in addition to a road contest against the University of Michigan at Alumni Field in Ann Arbor, Mich.
The first game of the fall season will be played today, Sept. 20, at Varsity Field when the Eagles host Concordia University at 3:30 p.m.
Next, Eastern will host Aquinas College for a double-header Saturday, Sept. 22, beginning at 1 p.m.
Both Concordia and Saginaw Valley State University will travel to Ypsilanti to take on the Eagles Sunday, Sept. 23. The Eagles will square off with Concordia at 11 a.m. and their game with SVSU is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. Concordia and Saginaw Valley will play at 3:30 p.m.
Eastern has a pair of games Sunday, Sept. 30, when EMU will host Gannon University and Madonna University. Gannon and EMU will face-off at 10 a.m. and first pitch for the Eagles game with Madonna is set for 3 p.m. Madonna and Gannon will hit the field at 12:30 p.m. for their game.
The final home date for EMU will be Thursday, Oct. 4, when the Eagles will host Concordia again. The game is slated to start at 3:15 p.m.
Finally, the Eagles will travel across Washtenaw County to take on Michigan at Alumni Field in Ann Arbor Tuesday, Oct. 9. First pitch for the Eagles and Wolverines is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
