YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University Athletics Department released ticket and fan bus information for the upcoming 2012 FirstEnergy Mid-American Conference Basketball Tournament Friday, March 2.
Different from last year's tournament, the 5-12 seeds will play first round games on campus sites with the winners advancing to face each other in the second round at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The second-round winners will advance to the quarterfinal games to play the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds with those winners advancing to the semifinal games to play the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds. The seeding is based on conference winning percentage, regardless of division.
The EMU women's basketball team clinched the No. 2 seed and will advance to the semifinal round. Meanwhile, the EMU men's basketball team finish the regular season as the fifth seed and will host No. 12 Northern Illinois Monday, March 5, at 7 p.m. inside the Convocation Center. Tickets for the game will be still be $10 for reserved lower-bowl or $8 for upper-bowl reserved. EMU students still get in free with a valid student ID.
Tickets are also available through the EMU Athletic Ticket Office for all tournament games held at Quicken Loans Arena in which EMU participates at the following prices: women's basketball: $10 and Men's Basketball: $30. EMU students can purchase women's tournament tickets for $5 or men's tournament tickets for $10 with a valid student ID.
Additionally, each ticket purchase will also come with a coupon for the same amount that can be applied for 2012-13 basketball season tickets. For example, if you purchase a ticket to the men's tournament then you will receive a $30 coupon for 2012-13 men's season tickets. Note that only one coupon can be applied per season ticket seat. The coupons will not be valid if the men's team does not make it to Cleveland, thus the tournament ticket purchase will be refunded.
Ticket order reservations may be placed online at EMUTix.com or purchased at the EMU table in the main ticket area inside the northeast entrance at Quicken Loans Arena. Pre-ordered tickets will require a valid photo ID for pick-up.

MAC Tournament Bus Information
Fan Bus Information for Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals at Quicken Loans Arena (Cleveland, OH)
• Includes round trip transportation to and from Quicken Loans Arena for each individual round of the tournament. Game ticket sold separately.
• Students and fans can purchase bus tickets for $10 for each round of the tournament at the Ticket Office.
• Tickets purchased in advance are eligible for a full refund if EMU does not advance to that round.
• The bus will pickup and drop off at the Convocation Center Circle Drive, leaving approximately 4 hours before tip-off.
• Bus tickets will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
• Members of the Eagle Nation Fan Section will receive a complimentary ticket for the bus. Please note that these tickets must still be purchased at the Ticket Office and the cost will be reimbursed before bus departure. To receive the reimbursement, the official Eagle Nation Fan Section T-shirt must be worn when loading the bus.
Additional Fan Bus Information:
• The fan bus is not guaranteed. A minimum threshold of riders is required for departure.
• Email and a cell phone number will be required when purchasing tickets. Fans will be notified via text and email at least 6 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
• The fan bus will depart Quicken Loans Arena no later than 30 minutes after the last EMU game of the day.
• Food will not be provided during the trip, however one stop will be made during the trip for restroom breaks and food.
• If the men's team plays a game on Friday, the fan bus will go to Cleveland for both the men's and women's game before returning.
• If both the men's and women's teams play in the Finals on Saturday, the fan bus will go to Cleveland for both games before returning.
MAC Tournament Tickets
• MAC Tournament tickets are not included in the price for the bus transportation. Tickets are $30 for the men's tournament and $10 for the women's tournament. Students can purchase discounted tickets at $10 each for the men's tournament and $5 each for the women's tournament.
