Eagles shut out by home squad
HONOLULU, Hawai'i (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 dual-match decision to the No. 52 ranked University of Hawai'i team here Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 29, on the University of Hawai'i Outdoor Tennis Courts.
A two-hour rain delay forced the teams to play singles first in the dual match.
“This was not a good showing for our squad today ,” EMU Head Coach Ryan Ray said. “Hawai'i played well, but we are capable of much better. Tomorrow is another day and we need to show more against Iowa State.”
The Eagles, now 4-6, are scheduled to play Iowa State in a dual match Thursday, March 1, here at the University of Hawai'i courts before returning to the mainland to play at Loyola-Marymount in Los Angeles, March 3.
