Eagles continue Spring season in Arizona
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com)- The Eastern Michigan women's golf team will continue its spring season in Arizona, competing at the Red Rocks Invitational, March 3-4. Northern Arizona University will host the Invitational at Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona.
The two-day event will consist of 36 holes of match play. The first round will be played Saturday, March 3, with a shotgun start at 1 a.m. MST. The second and final round will be Sunday, March 4, with an 8 a.m. MST shotgun start.
The field for the 2012 Red Rocks Invitational will include 20 teams – host Northern Arizona, CSU Bakersfield, Eastern Michigan, Eastern Washington, Grand Canyon, Montana, Montana State, Northern Colorado, Northern Kentucky, North Dakota, Oakland, Seattle, South Dakota, Southern Utah, Utah Valley, Xavier, Weber State, Western Michigan, Western New Mexico and Wyoming.
Oakcreek Country Club, designed by the famous father and son team of Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr., can truly be described as a work of art. The par 72, 18-hole championship golf course (6,084 yards) is nestled among the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona with views beyond compare and the golf course design a masterpiece.
