EMU looks to lock up the No. 4 seed for next weekend's MAC Championship

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - In looking to secure one of the team's best finishes under current head coach Ryan Ray, the Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team will close out it's 2011 regular season today and try to secure a .500 record overall as well as in the Mid-American Conference.

» WHAT'S ON TAP:
The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team will close out its regular season with a home matchup against the visiting University of Toledo Rockets, Friday, April 22 at 1 p.m. at the Chippewa Racquet Club in Ypsilanti, Mich.

» SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION:
Just like the Eagles, the Rockets (12-9, 3-4 MAC) enter Friday's contest having just dropped a pair of matches against Bowling Green and Western Michigan this past weekend. The winner of Friday's match could finish as high as fourth in the Mid-American Conference, while the loser would finish sixth.

» THE SERIES:
Eastern Michigan has proved to be dominant in the team's previous matchups against one another all time. The Eagles have won 26 of the 31 matches in the series, despite suffering a 4-3 setback in the team's previous match to close out the 2010 season.

» CELEBRATING THE SENIOR: Senior Xu Chang will compete in the last regular season match of her career today as the team's lone senior wraps up a stellar career. To date, Xu has ammased 71 career wins in the three seasons in which she has been eligible to participate.
