DAYTON, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) –– The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team pushed its winning streak to four consecutive matches with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-16) victory over Wright State University Tuesday, Sept. 28, in non-conference action at C.J. McLin Gymnasium. Sophomore outside hitter Rachel Iaquaniello (Plymouth, Mich.-Dearborn Divine Child) again paced the offensive attack with 13 kills and a .619 hitting percentage (21-0-21).

With the decision the Eagles improve to15-3 on the campaign, while the Raiders fall to 6-9. EMU's 15-3 start is the program's best since the 2003 campaign when the Green and White notched a 16-2 record through its first 18 matches.

Junior Haley Stein (Carleton, Mich.-Monroe St. Mary's Catholic Central) pulled up 20 digs, while junior Ashley Mason (Eastlake, Ohio-Lake Catholic) chipped in 26 set assists.

The Raiders recorded one more kill than EMU in the opening set, 10-9, but the Eagles took advantage of nine WSU attack errors as they cruised to the 25-18 decision.

The Green and White led 21-14 in the second set before Wright State rallied to tie it at 23-23 on an Ashley Heyman kill. However, the Eagles would keep their composure, winning the set, 25-23, on a Raider attack error

Iaquaniello helped erased an early 5-3 deficit in the final set with a 6-1 run to make it 9-6. WSU closed to within one, 13-12, only to see EMU follow with an 8-1 burst to put the set out of reach.
