Burke and Jeppesen Turn in Top 10 Finishes at Monroe Invitational

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (EMUEagles.com) -- Playing in a star-studded field, Eastern Michigan University men's golfers Cam Burke (Baden, Ontario-Waterloo Secondary) and Marty Jeppesen (Saline, Mich.-Saline) posted a pair of top 10 finishes at the 70th Monroe Invitational Championship, June 14-19.

Burke fired rounds of 69, 68, 65 and 72 to finish with a six-under par 274 in second place on the par 70, 6,787 yard Monroe Golf Club. Jeppesen finished in 10th place with a one-over 281 with scores of 69, 70, 70 and 72.

Western Illinois University's Kyle Peterman won the tournament at 11-under 269 (64-64-69-72).

Past winners of the Monroe Invitational include the likes of PGA Tour veterans Chris DiMarco and Jeff Sluman.
