Viltz and Millick Wrap Up Action at Lexington Regional

LEXINGTON, Ky. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University gymnasts Kaylyn Millick (Washington, Pa.-Trinity) and Nikole Viltz (Hawthorn Woods, Ill.-Carmel) wrapped up their 2010 seasons Saturday night, April 10, at the Lexington Regional at Memorial Coliseum, with Millick competing as an all-around performer and Viltz on the balance beam.
Millick opened up the competition in the floor exercise for her first rotation, posting a 9.775 in the event to finish sixth in her rotation with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. In the second rotation of the evening, Millick carded a 9.700 on the vault, finishing sixth overall within the group. After a bye in rotation three, Millick scored a 9.000 on the bars in rotation four. In her final event in the fifth rotation, Millick carded an 8.600 on the balance beam. Millick finished the competition with an all-around mark of 37.075.
Viltz competed on the balance beam with the Michigan State University Spartans in the second rotation, as she carded a 9.025 in the event.
The competition marked the first trip to an NCAA regional for both gymnasts, as both Millick and Viltz return to the team next season.
