YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Coming off four wins in its last five games, the Eastern Michigan University baseball team is set for a non-conference match-up Tuesday, March 30, with the cross-town rival Wolverines from the University of Michigan. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at Ray Fisher Stadium.

EMU VERSUS U-M: The Eagles and Wolverines will be meeting for the 169th time Tuesday, March 30, with U-M holding an all-time 110-56-2 mark over EMU. Since 2000, the Eagles have a 7-17 mark versus the Wolverines, with their only winning season against U-M coming in 2000 (1-0). Last year, the Eagles went 2-2 versus the Wolverines.
COMMON THREADS: Current EMU assistant coach Aaron Hepner was a volunteer coach for the Wolverines for three seasons prior to joining Jay Alexander's staff last season, while current EMU volunteer assistant coach Dan O'Brien was an assistant coach at U-M from 1991-95. ON THE HILL: The Eagles had perhaps their most successful pitching performances of the season in five games last week, as four of EMU's starters went six or more innings, combining to give up just six runs and striking out a combined 29 batters in 29.1 innings of work.
