Burke Ties for 51st at Sunnehanna Amateur Tournament

Penn State's Kevin Foley took home the title with a 13-under 267
YPSILANTI, Mich. — Eastern Michigan University senior-to-be Cam Burke (Baden, Ontario-Waterloo Secondary) finished tied for 51st place at the 56th Annual Sunnehanna Amateur Tournament for Champions at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, Pa. The Baden, Onatrio native fired a 293 (72-75-72-74), as Penn State's Kevin Foley rolled to the tournament title with a 13-under par 267 (61-68-70-68).
A record 79 golfers were been invited to the tournament, including contestants from the Philippines, Australia, Korea, Canada, Great Britain and New Zealand. Also in the field were nine of the top 12 amateurs in the nation.
PGA products who won at Sunnehanna include Ben Crenshaw, John Cook, Bobby Clampett, Bill Andrade, Jodie Mudd, Brad Faxon, Howard Twitty and Scott Verplank. Others to play include Arnold Palmer, Julius Boros, Jim Furyk, Davis Love III, Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson, Fred Couples, Lee Janzen, David Duval, Tom Lehman, Justin Leonard and Tiger Woods.
