Eagles Host Huskies for Three-Game Set

Game one is slated for Friday, April 24, at 6:05 p.m. at Oestrike Stadium.
YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team returns home this weekend for a three-game Mid-American Conference West Division series, as the Eagles (12-27, 5-10 MAC) host the Huskies of Northern Illinois University (14-23, 5-9 MAC), April 24-26, at Oestrike Stadium. Friday's game is scheduled for 6:05 p.m., while Saturday and Sunday are slated for 3:05 p.m. and 1:05 p.m., respectively.
A LOOK AT NIU: The Eagles lead the all-time series over NIU, 56-33. In their last meeting, the Huskies handed EMU a 7-4 loss in DeKalb, Ill. The Huskies stand at 5-9 in the MAC after dropping two out of three against Toledo last weekend.
LOOKING AHEAD: After facing NIU, the Eagles head to East Lansing for a pair of mid-week games against Michigan State, April 28-29. The Eagles fell, 14-5, to the Spartans earlier this season at Oestrike Stadium. MSU leads the all-time series, 64-52-2. The Eagles begin the month of May at home against Ball State, May 1-3, at Oestrike Stadium.
GETTING OFFENSIVE: The Eagles are averaging over 13 runs per-game in their last four games, outscoring opponents, 55-29. The Eagles have jacked 17 total home runs in the last four games, as Matt Skirving, Todd Graves, Jim Gulliver, and Andrew Marshall have each belted three homers in the last four games, while Wally Gerbus has hit two and Aaron Powell, Kyle Rhoad, and Zack Leonard each have one. EMU leads the MAC with 47 home runs as a team this season.
