Eagles Split Doubleheader at WMU

EMU dropped game one, 7-6, but came back strong in game two for an 18-6 victory.

Sophomore Zack Leonard (Canton, Ohio-McKinley) led the EMU offense in game two, going 4-for-6 with a homer, two runs scored and two RBI, while junior Todd Graves (St. Mary's, Ohio-St. Mary's Memorial) had a stellar day, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and a team-best five RBI.

In game one, the Eagles went into the ninth down a pair of runs and managed to pull within one, as sophomore Matt Skirving (Midland, Mich.-H.H. Dow) belted a solo homer to make it a 7-6 game. But for the first and only time all weekend, the WMU pitching staff managed to hold off the EMU offense to seal the win.
