KENT
, OhioThe Eastern Michigan University baseball team dropped a Mid-American Conference match-up Sunday afternoon, March 22, at Schoonover Stadium in Kent, Ohio, as the Eagles fell, 13-2, to the Kent State University Golden Flashes.

EMU drops to 3-18 (0-3 MAC) with the loss, while KSU improves to 13-4 (3-0 MAC) with the win.

Freshman Brent Ohrman (Adrian, Mich.-Adrian), senior Aaron Powell (Clarkston, Mich.-Clarkston) and junior Jim Gulliver (Allen Park, Mich.-Allen Park) each went 2-for-4 at the plate for the Eagles.

The Golden Flashes took control of the game from the get-go, posting four runs in the first two innings of the game to put the Eagles down, 4-0.

Sophomore Matt Skirving (Midland, Mich.-H.H. Dow) put the Eagles on the scoreboard in the top of the sixth, as his RBI single through the right side scored sophomore Zack Leonard (Canton, Ohio-McKinley) to make it a 7-1 game. Leonard went 2-for-4 in the loss with one run, while Skiving finished 1-for-2 with an RBI.
