» 2009 SEASON KICKS OFF: The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team is in its 32nd season. The first season of women's varsity intercollegiate tennis at EMU was 1976-77 under the direction of Lucy Parker. The Eagles went 8-7 that season and finished fifth at the Michigan AIAW Championship.
» WHAT'S ON TAP: The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team will continue its seven-match road trip, travelling to Nebraska to take on the University of Nebraska Friday, Feb. 13, at 4 p.m., and will move to then a neutral-site match against Colorado State at Nebraska, Feb. 13 at 11:30 a.m.
» SCOUTING THE HUSKERS: Nebraska enters the match with a 3-0 overall record, beating Wyoming, 7-0, and Drake, 6-1, last weekend. The Huskers are led by Madeleine Geibert and Wiveca Swarting at the first and second flights, respectively, both holding perfect 3-0 records.
» THE SERIES: This is the fifth meeting between the Eagles and Huskers, with Nebraska holding a 4-0 series edge. The last meeting between the two teams was March 14, 2003, with UN taking the slim 4-3 victory.
» SCOUTING THE RAMS: Colorado State enters the match with a 1-2 mark on the young season. The Rams split last weekend's matches, picking up a win against Utah State and chalking up a loss against Kansas State.
» THE SERIES: The Eagles and Rams will be meeting for the first time Saturday, Feb. 14.
» LONE WIN: Senior Joanna Woo picked up the Eagles' lone win for the Feb. 6-7 weekend series, defeating Oklahoma State's Maryna Tkachenko in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
» RANKED OPPONENTS CAUSE TROUBLE: With a difficult non-conference schedule, the Eagles have faced four ranked opponents and have recorded an 0-4 record against them.
