BUFFALO, N.Y. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's swimming and diving team fell 166-128 to the University at Buffalo in Mid-American Conference action Friday, Nov. 6.

 

Briana Emig swam to three first place finishes in the 200, 500 and 1,000 freestyle races while Elisa Torres turned in the only other first place individual finish for the Eagles in the 200 butterfly.

 

Freshman Danielle Hulvey impressed in just her third meet of her career with two second place tallies in the both diving events. She posted 246 points in the one meter dive and 275.85 points in the three-meter.

 

In the 100 backstroke, two Eagles finished second and third as Sarah Maraskine touched the wall in 59.41 while followed closely by Michele Gingher at 59.44.

 

The 400 free relay team consisting of Sarah Kowalski, Lauren Kalinosky, Sheila Carson and Samantha Partridge raced to a first place finish with a time of 3:35.56.

 

The Green and White will swim tomorrow afternoon in a dual meet against Akron.
