BACK HOME SUNDAY AFTERNOON TO HOST MISSOURI STATE: The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team returns home Sunday, Nov. 29, to host the Bears of Missouri State University before heading back out of the road for a pair. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. at the Convocation Center in Ypsilanti, Mich..
The Eagles are 4-1 on the young season following a 64-46 setback to Temple University Tuesday, Nov. 24, in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, the Bears are 3-1 overall and are in the midst of a four-game road swing that saw them play at Arkansas State University, Nov. 27, before the EMU contest. MSU will then head to Manhattan, Kan., Dec. 4-5, for a tournament featuring Kansas State, Grambling State and UTEP.

A BULLSEYE ON MISSOURI STATE: Eastern Michigan and Missouri State have never met on the hardwood prior to Sunday's scheduled contest.

EMU ALL-TIME AGAINST THE MISSOURI VALLEY: Eastern is 2-11 all time versus the St. Louis, Mo. based Missouri Valley Conference, having played against six of the 10 member institutions. EMU is 1-0 versus Creighton, 1-1 against Evansville, 0-1 with Bradley, 0-1 versus Southern Illinois, 0-4 against Illinois State, and 0-5 versus Indiana State.
The Eagles last win over a Missouri Valley team came during the 2000-01 campaign, when Eastern dominated Creighton, 50-35, in the finale of the Nassau Sun Splash Shootout in Nassau, Bahamas, Dec. 21.

EMU CLOSING IN ON 100 WINS INSIDE THE CONVOCATION CENTER: Eastern Michigan has racked up a solid home-court advantage inside the friendly confines of the Convocation Center since the doors opened during the 1998-99 campaign. The Green and White have won 68.3 percent of the contests played in the building, racking up a 97-45 all-time mark.

EAGLE ALL-ACCESS TO STREAM THE GAME: Sunday's contest against Missouri State University will be video streamed exclusively on Eagle All-Access, as play-by-play voice Brian Nemerovski will have the call beginning at 1:50 p.m. Subscription packages start at just $5.95 for a 24-hour pass, while a monthly option is available for $9.95.

NOTRE DAME ON THE HORIZON: The Eagles and Fighting Irish are meeting for the fourth time on the hardwood and just the second time in South Bend, Ind. Last season, Notre Dame cruised to an 83-63 victory at the Convocation Center in Ypsilanti, Mich. In the only meeting at the Joyce Center, UND rolled to a 75-58 win in South Bend, Ind., Dec. 15, 1982.

TOP-25 OPPOSITION AND THE EAGLES: For the first-time this season, Eastern Michigan will square off with a team ranked. In the program's 34 years, EMU has never knocked off a ranked opponent, posting a 0-9 record. For EMU's complete all-time results versus ranked teams, turn to page five of these notes.

EMU VERSUS THE BIG EAST: Eastern is 6-15 all-time versus the Providence, R.I. based Big East Conference, having only played eight of the 16 member institutions. EMU is 3-0 versus South Florida, 2-2 against Pittsburgh, 1-4 versus Cincinnati, 0-3 against DePaul, 0-1 versus Louisville, 0-3 against Notre Dame, 0-1 versus Providence and 0-1 against St. John's.

ROAD TRIP TALE OF THE TAPE: During the Eagles' eight-day trip to Siena University, Niagara University and Temple University, Nov. 18-25, the Green and White logged 1,884 miles. The three consecutive road games marked the first-time since the 2006-07 season EMU played three consecutive non-tournament games as the visiting team.
That year Eastern Michigan posted a 2-3 record during a five-game road swing to the exotic locations of Dayton, Ohio (Wright State University), Amherst, Mass. (University of Massachusetts), Normal, Ill. (Illinois State University), Greensboro, S.C. (Furman University) and Cullowhee, NC. (Western Carolina University).

BEST START TO A SEASON SINCE 2007-08: The Eagles' 4-1 start to the 2009-10 campaign is the best by an EMU squad since the 2007-08 campaign opened the year with victories over Temple Baptist, Detroit, Wright State and Alabama.
