ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team shot a combined score of 575 on the first 36 holes of the Wolverine Invitational this afternoon in Ann Arbor, as junior Brandon Lemons (Portage, Mich.-Portage Central) shot a combined two-under after 36 holes to lead the Eagles.

The final round (18 holes) of the Wolverine Invitational will begin tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.

Lemons got off to a rough start on the front nine, as he bogeyed on three and eight to shoot two-over to start the day. He would come back strong on the back nine, as birdies on 13 and 17 brought him back to one-over after 18 holes. He would again birdie on 13 and 17 in round two, while also birdying on two and 17 to finish three-under in round two and two-under on the day.

Junior Marty Jeppeson (Saline, Mich-Saline) shot two-under in round two to finish the day two-over par, while sophomore Brad Larente (Cambridge, Ont.-Hespeler Secondary) shot one-under in round two, finishing the day at +5 going into the final round.
