EAST LANSING, Mich. -- After two rounds, the Eastern Michigan University women's golf team tied for sixth place at the Mary Fossum Invitational in East Lansing, Mich., as the Eagles shot a combined 618 (307,311) on the day.
The final round of the Mary Fossum Invitational will begin tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m.
Senior Stephany Fleet (Dewitt, Mich.-Dewitt) and sophomore Darby Peters (Lake Orion, Mich.-Lake Orion) each shot nine-over par in the first two rounds to lead the Eagles. Fleet, last week's Mid-American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, birdied on eight, 10, and 15 in the first round, good for three-over par.
