ZIONVILLE, Ind. – The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team finished seventh out of 14 teams at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate hosted by Indiana University in Zionsville, Ind., Sept. 13-14. The Eagles managed a final day 301 to finish with a three round total of 899.

The University of Michigan won the event with an 880 on the par 71, 7,195 yard Wolf Run Golf Course, while fellow Mid-American Conference schools Ball State had an 897 for sixth place, Kent State finished 10th with a 904 and Toledo placed 12th with a 937.

A trio of Eagles finished tied for 19th, as senior Christopher Ross (Dundas, Ontario-Parkside), junior Cam Burke (Baden, Ontario-Waterloo Secondary) and sophomore Brad Larente (Cambridge, Ontario-Hespeler Secondary) all tallied a two-day mark of 225. Junior Brandon Lemons (Portage, Mich.-Portage Central) notched a final day 80 to finish tied for 37th with a 230 (78-72-80). Junior Marty Jeppesen (Saline, Mich.-Saline) rounded out the lineup with a 235 (83-78-74) in 53rd.

The Eagle will return to action Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20-21, in their only local event of the season, the Wolverine Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan. The event will feature 36 holes Saturday and 18 holes Sunday.
