ZIONVILLE, Ind. – The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team got off to a slow start at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate hosted by Indiana University at the par 71, 7,195 yard Wolf Run Golf Course. The Eagles, who shot an opening round 309, rebounded with a 289 in the second round to move into seventh place heading into Sunday's finale. The second round mark of 289 was the second-lowest team total turned in, bettered only by The University of Louisville's 285.

Junior Cam Burke (Baden, Ontario-Waterloo Secondary) finished the day tied for 12th place with rounds of 76 and 72. Sophomore Brad Larente (Cambridge, Ontario-Hespeler Secondary) carded a 149 (78-71) for 15th place while junior Brandon Lemons (Portage, Mich.-Portage Central) notched a 150 (78-72) for a tie for 23rd. Senior Christopher Ross (Dundas, Ontario-Parkside) and junior Marty Jeppesen (Saline, Mich.-Saline) rounded out the lineup with a 151 and a 161, respectively.

The University of Michigan tops the team standing with a 580 (286-294) followed closely by Louisville with a 583 (298-285).

Sunday's final round commences with an 8:30 a.m. start and teams teeing off from the 1st and 10th tees.
