Nine EMU Rowers Named CRCA Scholar-Athletes

"It's very nice to have student athletes who take academics as seriously as these ladies,” said head coach Brad Holdren. “It's a testament to their hard work and also the hard work of the Student Athlete Support Services office.
The SASS office at EMU accomplishes the impossible every year. They continue to keep more than 500 student-athletes on track with very limited resources and I think they do a tremendous job. The rowing team is constantly trying to become the top academic team on Eastern’s campus, but we have a lot of work ahead of us to achieve that task. I congratulate all of our scholar-athletes.
Their hard work makes everyone around them feel good about themselves."
Scholar-athletes must be in their second, third or fourth year of eligibility, rowing 75 percent of the current spring races or at the regional conference championship and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50.
