Rowing's Sarah Allison Earns CRCA All-Region Honors

YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) announced its All-Region teams for the 2008 season and Eastern Michigan University’s Sarah Allison (Brockville, Ontario-Brockville Collegiate Institute) was named to the second-team All-Central team. The awards recognize the outstanding performances of rowers from each of the five Division I regions, organized into first and second-team selections.

"Sarah has worked very hard during her four years here and it's nice to see her get recognition on the regional level,” said head women’s rowing coach Brad Holdren. “She has helped this program grow in a positive direction through all of our recent set backs and circumstances. If it weren't for Sarah's leadership during the last several years this program might not be looking towards such an optimistic future."

Allison, who holds the second-fastest ergometer time this season by an Eagle, participated in 100 percent of the races the Green and White competed at. Most recently the Eagles closed out the season with a 12th place finish at the Central Region Championship in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
