Frankowski improves to 5-1 on the season
"Despite the final score, our effort and intensity was good today," said head coach Ryan Ray. "Our execution wasn't sharp at times, but first we need to continue to get a collective high level intensity on evey court, which we showed a better job of today."
In doubles play, the Eagles were victorious at the number one spot. Seniors Tina Bestehorn and Vanessa Frankowski teamed up to defeat Danielle Mousseau and Lindsay Risebrough by a score of 8-3.
In singles play, the lone win came from Frankowski, who took down Alessandra Ferrazzi in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 10-8. Frankowski's overall record improves to 5-1 in dual matches.
The Eagles head out to California to face the University of California-Santa Barbara, Feb. 25. The match is set to begin at 1:30 p.m.
