Vanessa Frankowski Ranked #70 in Preseason National Singles

Earns first preseason national ranking

SKILLMAN, N.J.--Tennis’ Vanessa Frankowski (Stuttgart, Germany- Albertus Magnus Gymnasium) was ranked #70 in the preseason national singles ranking by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

Over 125 individuals appear on the preseason list and Frankowski is the only Mid-American Conference player to appear in the ranking.

Frankowski, entering her senior year here at Eastern Michigan University, finished off a stellar junior season. She was named the 2007 MAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Year and was awarded the MAC automatic bid into the tournament after posting a 7-1 conference record. She was selected MAC Player of the Week in early March for her stellar play in three matches in the sunshine state of Florida. Over the course of those matches Frankowski did not drop a set.
