Women's Tennis Team and Four Individuals Named ITA All-Academic

Parfenyuk, Bestehorn, Frankowski and Krishnan all named individual ITA All-Academic

Skillman, NJ.-- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its 2007 ITA All-Academic Team and Scholar Athletes and the Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team as well as four members of the squad were named to the list.

Yana Parfenyuk, a 2007 graduate, and rising seniors Catharina Bestehorn, Vanessa Frankowski and Aditi Krishnan were all named scholar-athletes for the second straight year.

Teams must meet a minimum grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale) and athletes whose names are submitted to the ITA must complete in at least one varsity match and must average into the team GPA.

Individuals must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50, be a varsity letter winner and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman thorough senior year).
