Men's Track Places Four on MAC All-Academic Squad

Joel Kirsch, Kevin Naughton, Corey Nowitzke and Alan Walker named to the 2006 team

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Four Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team members have been voted to the 2006 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic squad.

Sophomore Joel Kirsch (Wyoming, Mich.-Wyoming Park), junior Kevin Naughton (Walled Lake, Mich.-Walled Lake Western), junior Corey Nowitzke (Monroe, Mich.-Monroe), and junior Alan Walker (Phoenix, AZ-Greenway) were selected to this year's academic team. Nowitzke was also a member of the 2005 MAC All-Academic team.

Kirsch has a 3.80 GPA as a criminology major, Naughton has a 3.21 GPA in math-teaching, Nowitzke has a 3.75 GPA in math-teaching and Walker has a 3.47 GPA as an accounting major.
