Ypsilanti, Mich. -- The Eastern Michigan University men’s swimming and diving team swept host Oakland and Princeton in a tri-meet at OU’s Aquatic Center. The EMU women’s team split the tri-meet, defeating Oakland and falling to Princeton.

The men's team defeated Princeton, the defending Ivy League Champions, 127.5-11.5, and downed host Oakland, 146-97. The women's squad defeated Oakland, 130.5-106.5, and fell to Princeton 130.5-110.5.

For the men, Michael Rowland (50-yard freestyle), Dan Wohl (200-yard IM), Derick Roe (100-yard freestyle) and Mitch Kellerman (three-meter diving) all claimed individual events.

For the women, the Eagles swept the diving events as Sarah Chrzanowski won the one-meter event and Becky Renkola claimed the three-meter dive. Madeleine Pilchard was the lone Eagle to win an individual swimming event, winning the 500-yard freestyle. The EMU 400-yard freestyle relay team of Alissa Ricard, Hannah Burandt, Steph Cholyk and Pilchard also finished first.

The EMU men’s team will be idle until December when they host the annual EMU Invitational, Dec. 1-2. The two-day meet will be held in EMU’s Jones Natatorium. The women will be in action again tomorrow, Nov. 11, for a Mid-American Conference dual meet with Miami University.
