Laryssa Imbuzeiro joined Eastern Michigan University’s Athletic Media Relations staff as a graduate assistant in August 2025.
Imbuzeiro previously worked in the Niagara University Athletics Strategic Communications office from Fall 2021 through Spring 2025. As an undergraduate, she also led a capstone initiative to organize an alumni association specifically for women’s athletics.
A standout student-athlete, she set the career total blocks record for the Niagara Volleyball program while earning All-MAAC Second Team honors in both 2023 and 2024. She concluded her senior campaign by leading the Purple Eagles in hitting percentage (.352) and total blocks (144), starting all 107 sets as a middle blocker.
A Northville, Mich. native, Imbuzeiro graduated Summa Cum Laude from Niagara in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from the College of Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management.
Imbuzeiro was a four-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection and a 2021 All-MAAC Rookie Team honoree. She played club volleyball for Legacy Volleyball Club and captained her high school team at Northville High School.
