Keira Boetel joined the Eastern Michigan University gymnastics program as an assistant coach in 2026.

Boetel came to Ypsilanti after spending the 2025 and 2026 seasons as an assistant coach at Southeast Missouri State University, where she led the beam rotation and assisted with in-gym conditioning.

During her two seasons with the Redhawks, Boetel helped guide the program to success at both the conference and national levels. In 2026, Southeast Missouri captured the Midwest Independent Conference Championship, while Boetel was named the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships Assistant Coach of the Year. She also earned Midwest Independent Conference Assistant Coach of the Year honors in 2025.

Boetel worked closely with Taylor Ingle, who captured national titles on beam and in the all-around in 2026 before qualifying for the NCAA Lexington Regional on vault. In 2025, Boetel helped guide Ingle and Leah Parton to MIC Co-Conference Championships on beam. Ingle and Jaidan Kossuth also advanced to the WCGNIC Individual Event Finals, while Ingle earned a spot at the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional in the all-around.

Before beginning her collegiate coaching career, Boetel competed at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. She competed on vault and beam and helped the Eagles earn a third-place finish at the 2022 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association National Championship. Boetel was named UWL Gymnastics Rookie of the Year in 2021 before medically retiring from competition following her sophomore season.

Following her competitive career, Boetel remained with the UWL program as a student manager for the 2023 season before serving as a student assistant coach in 2024.

A native of Sioux Falls, S.D., Boetel attended O’Gorman High School and competed in club gymnastics at All American Gymnastics Academy from 2010-20. She earned a Bachelor of Science in General Studies from Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2025.
