Tony Lyssiotis ('07) enters his second season at a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the EMU wrestling team. Lyssiotis will work primarily with the heavyweights.
Lyssiotis was a four-year letterwinning starter for the Eagles, starting at 197 lbs. from 2004-07. The Oxford, Mich. native finished third in the Mid-American Conference tournament his senior year, while earning Academic All-MAC honors his junior and senior years.
He is a 2015 inductee into his high school's Hall of Fame, where he was a state champion at the 215 lbs. weight class his senior year, after recording a 42-2 ledger. He was the fourth individual state champion in school history.
After graduating from Eastern with a degree in Political Science, Lyssiotis pursued a career as a firefighter, where he currently works as one in Westland, Mich.
