YPSILANTI, Mich. Week's Achievements: Junior Delaney Duncan (Galesburg, Ill.-Galesburg) had a sensational showing at the 2018 NCAA Championships, March 16-17, where she concluded the season as a two-time All-American. Starting the meet in the 100 breaststroke, Duncan clocked a new school and MAC record time of 58.36 to take fourth-place. Her performance, earning her All-American accolades, was the highest finish by a swimmer in program history. On Saturday, the Galesburg, Ill. native entered the morning seeded 44th in the 200 breast. Dropping over two full seconds off her seeded time, Duncan not only won her heat but qualified for the consolation final with a time of 2:08.91, earning herself All American Honorable Mention status. In the evening session, Duncan dropped over one-tenth of a second off her prelims time to clock in at 2:08.80, good for a 14th-place finish and the fastest time in EMU's laurels.

Week's Achievements: Redshirt sophomore Sa'Derian Perry (Lakeland, Florida-Lake Gibson) became EMU wrestling's first Division I All-American since 1999 when he finished eighth at 141 lbs. at the 2018 NCAA Wrestling Championships held at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. The Florida native won his first two matches of the tournament, the first an upset over the No. 9 seed, to get to the quarterfinals, the first EMU wrestler to get there since 1989. After a loss in the quarters to the top ranked grappler in the weight class, Perry dropped down to the 'bloodround' needing just one win to get All-American status. In the match against No. 11 seeded Michael Carr of Illinois, Perry got a takedown as time expired to secure his spot on the podium. Perry finished his season with 18 total wins, a new career-best.
