The 2021-22 season will mark the second year Alsu Lenneman has served as a volunteer coach of the program's track and field team, where she coaches the distance runners.

Lenneman (Bogdanova) graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2018 as one of the most decorated distance runners in EMU history, excelling in both cross country and track. The Russia native won the Mid-American Conference cross country meet in 2015 (20:39.26) and finished runner-up in 2017 (20:50.2). During her time as a harrier, she helped lead her team to conference title victory every fall and ran in a pair of NCAA championship races. In 2016, she helped lead the Eagles to a ninth-place finish at the NCAA title meet, the best placement in program history. On the track, she finished runner-up at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 5000m run in 15:43.84 as a senior, the fastest time ever by an Eagle. The harrier also remains the record-holder in the indoor 3000m run (9:05.81) and the 3000m steeplechase (9:51.29).
