EMU: 2017-18: Competed in five of eight races in her final season for the Eagles… Was coxswain of the 1V8+ that took first place at the George Mason Invitational (April 22)…2016-17: Competed in five of eight races her third year at EMU… Was a member of the 1-V8+ CAA Boat of the Week that took home the honors after sweeping a trio of races at Lubbers Cup (April 8-9)…. Was coxswain of the 1V8+ boats that also earned first place finish at MACRA (April 30)… 2015-16: Competed in all nine competitions during the season…Was the coxswain on a Varsity 8, and Varsity 4 boat…Won a race as the coxswain of one of the V8s over Buffalo at the George Mason Invite (April 17) to take the Harvey Cup for the second straight season…Coxed the 2V8 boat at the MACRA Regatta (May 1) which won the Swartz Cup…Also served as the coxswain in the second V8 boat at the CAA Championships (May 15) taking third in their race and helping EMU to a program-best third place overall finish…2014-15: Competed in both the Novice 8 and the Second Varsity Eight in the 2015 season for the Eagles…Helped the N8 team to a third-place finish at the Murphy Cup and a second-place finish at the Lubbers Cup…2013-14: Reshirted...HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Saline High School…was awarded the novice award for rowing in her freshman season…rowed in the varsity four as a freshman…was the coxswain for the women’s rowing team in her sophomore season and the men’s rowing team in both her junior and senior campaigns…named captain in her senior season…was a member of honor roll for four years…PERSONAL: Full name: Savannah Kate-Marie Theisen…Daughter of Chris and Sandra Theisen…Has two sisters, Aubrey and Carrigan…Both parents attended EMU…Major: Mechanical engineering.
