Stephanie Lamphear is in her second year at a full-time assistant coach for Eastern Michigan entering the 2024-25 season.
Lamphear served as a volunteer coach for the Eagles for the 2022-23 season.
A four-time letter winner, Lamphear rowed for EMU between 2015 and 2019. Making an immediate impact as a freshman, she competed in seven out of nine races in her first year. Lamphear was also a member of the Third Varsity Eight boat who competed at the 2019 Colonial Athletic Association Championships, aiding the program to a third place finish with 19 points.
In 2020, Lamphear earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan in psychology.
A native of Chesapeake, Va., Lamphear attended Great Bridge High School. As a rower, she competed in doubles, quads, four and eights and led her team to an Eastern Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association Regional Championship.
