Brian Whiting
Brian Whiting joined the Eastern Michigan athletic department in the spring of 2021 after a two year stint as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Lawrence Technological University. He came to Lawrence Tech after working at West Virginia University as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Prior to his work at WVU, he as the Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Graduate Assistant at Michigan State University.

During his tenure at West Virginia, Whiting designed pre-season, in-season, and off-season workouts for WVU women’s basketball, women’s tennis, and men’s golf. He implemented new training philosophies, sports specific conditioning workouts, agility drills, and speed drills. He also advised student-athletes in aspects of nutrition, and managed weekly maintenance of weight and cardio equipment. 

At Michigan State, Whiting assisted in the design and implementation of periodized strength and power workouts for their Olympic teams. He implemented sports-specific conditioning workouts as well as hired, trained, and supervised student interns. 

Whiting currently resides in Lyon Township, Michigan.
