Zach VerHulst finished his second year as a graduate assistant for the 2020-21 men's basketball campaign. He joined the Eagles’ staff as a graduate intern in 2018 before accepting the grad assistant position in 2019.
VerHulst joined the Eagles after spending time at Synergy Sports Technology as a support representative. VerHulst brought his expertise of Synergy, widely used among NCAA, NBA, and WNBA programs for analytic statistics, and in-depth video clips for teams to use, to Eastern's coaching staff. He also spent time as a video coordinator for the Godwin Heights Varsity Basketball program during the 2017-18 season.
The Grandville, Mich. native is a 2015 graduate of the University of Memphis with a degree in business accounting. VerHulst spent one season working as a volunteer with the Tigers' men's basketball team, primarily focusing on video.
