PERSONAL:  Full name:  Donald Douglas Scott...Son of Teresa Powell...Born: 2-23-92...Undecided major...Has one brother, Blake Sapp, and three sisters, Crystal, Dawn and Mercedes Scott...Played at same high school as former EMU football letterman Carson Green (1993, 1996)...EMU: 2012: Appeared in all 12 games, registering seven starts for the Green and White...Hauled in 19 catches for 255 yards and three touchdowns...Caught a pass in every game  of the 2012 campaign...TRACK: Indoor: Competed in nine meets for the Eagles… Set a new school record in the triple jump (51-feet 1.50-inches/15.58 meters) at the season-opening Eagle Holiday Meet, Dec. 7… Won six triple jump titles, including a MAC championship with a leap of 49-feet 10.50-inches (15.20 meters)…Along with the victory in the triple jump, placed fourth in the long jump at the MAC Indoor Championships, Feb. 22-23, with a personal-best mark of 23-feet 1.50-inches (7.05 meters) to help the Green and White claim the conference crown… 2011: Appeared in 11 games, earning five starts for the Eagles...Had two receptions on the season, one for 48 yards (vs. Akron 10/1) and one for seven (at Toledo 10/8).... Took 23rd in the triple jump at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, after leaping 49-feet -10.5 inches in his third and final attempt....Won the triple jump at the MAC Outdoor Track Championships with a leap of 51-feet-5 inches...For his efforts in track, was named first team All-MAC...2010:  One of six freshman to earn a letter as a after playing in 11 games, earning two starts, against Ohio (Oct. 2) and at Western Michigan (Nov. 13)...Hauled in 12 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns...Turned in a 52-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Alex Gillett against Central Michigan (Sept. 18) and grabbed a 32-yard TD strike from Gillett at Ohio State (Sept. 25)...Turned in four receptions for 50 yards in that WMU game and had three for 56 at Ohio State...Also rushed four times for 10 yards...Also competed in outdoor track for the EMU squad and earned second-team All-Mid-American Conference after placing second in the triple jump at 50-feet-7.25 inches in the league championship meet...Qualified for the long jump in the NCAA East Regional In Indianapolis and advanced to the prelims with a triple-jump effort of 50-feet-8.25 inches before finished 35th...Won the USATF National Junior Championship in the triple jump with a mark of 51-09.75, falling just short of the current school record of 52-02.00 set by Juris Vaskans in 1999, and bettering his previous personal-best jump of 50-08.25...With the mark, Scott qualified to compete on the USA National Junior Track and Field team and placed fifth at the Pan American Games Junior Championships...HIGH SCHOOL:  Graduated from Apopka High School in Apopka, Fla. where he played football for Head Coach Rick Darlington...Outstanding football player as well as a track competitor...Was a two-time All-American in the 300-meter hurdles and the triple jump...Had a career-best 49’8” triple jump...Senior Year: Played wide receiver for a run-oriented offense...Selected No. 48 on The Orlando Sentinel Central Florida Top 100 players in 2009...Caught 12 passes for 300 yards and four touchdowns...Rushed seven times for 67 yards and three scores...Won the AAU National title in the triple jump and finished third in the state of Florida and was a district champion in that event...Named third-team All-State in the triple jump...Junior Year:  Had three receiving touchdowns for the football squad...Earned 2009 USA Youth Track and Field All-American status, as well as honorable mention All-State accolades...Was the 2009 USA Youth Track triple jump champion along with being a finalist in the 400-meter dash...Was an AAU All-American in both the triple jump and 400-meter hurdles and was a USATF All-American in that event...Named honorable mention All-State in the triple jump.
